The Wine

This Viognier was aged for four months of which 50% in stainless steel and the other 50% in barriques while on the lees. It’s a complex and enticing Viognier sure to please any one who appreciates the variety.

Feronia is the ancient goddess of nature. Poggio Rosso translates to ‘Red Hill.’ The shell image is from Etruscan pottery found in the area of Populonia.

The People

The Monelli family owns Tenuta Poggio Rosso, a winery they revitalized in the area where their peasant ancestors lived. This region is expressed through the flavor of the sea, the minerality of the soil and the elegance obtained within the vineyards.
